Abstract: The Italiots of Strabo (note to 9, 3, 7 C 420). This short note is intended to pose only a question of methodology regarding the translation of the word Ἰταλιῶται in Strabo’ Geography, and finally suggest the hypothesis that the expression Ἰταλιωτῶν τινες καὶ Σικελοί (or Σικελιωτῶν) in the related passage should further be corrected.
