ABANDONURILE RAŢIUNII. DESPRE O CARTE RECENTĂ
Keywords: Late Antiquity, Balkans, Christianity, Roman Dacia, Romanian historiography, nationalism.
Abstract: The abandonments of reason: on a recent book. This review, drawing on a critical reading of a work of considerable length and rare prolixity, seeks to draw attention to the identitarion approaches that are once again gaining ground in Romanian historiography. In this type of writing, situated along the porous boundary between scholarly historical works and dilettantish productions, one can observe the amalgamation of three troubling ideological strands: the Orthodoxist nationalism of the 1930s, national-communist indigenism, and the contemporary sovereigntist nebulosity.
