Abstract: Audacter facio: The comparison between saints in Origen’s Homily 6 on Isaiah 1-2. The first part of this paper deals with Origen’s comparison between Isaiah and Moses in Hom 6 in Is. It highlights the seemingly diametrically opposed but essentially not so divergent outcomes of this confrontation. The second part attempts to reconstruct the relationship established by Origen, with regard to these verses of Isaiah, with Jewish exegesis. It takes into account Jerome’s evidence in his Ep. 18A too.
